My experience is rooted in international Christian ministry, working alongside Bible translation organizations, churches, and other nonprofits across a wide variety of cultures and contexts.

I enjoy helping people build what does not yet exist and strengthen what isn’t working. My greatest satisfaction comes from helping others uncover solutions to their own challenges.

Facilitated strategy sessions for boards and leadership teams, helping people surface their insights, explore new possibilities, work through complex questions, and develop a direction they understand and own.

Building & strengthening ministry functions

Helping organizations turn an idea or unmet need into a working function—with the people, structures, relationships, and processes to support it. Experience includes church relations, field services, U.S. and international partnership development, and foundation ministry.

HR & finance systems

Practical guidance on nonprofit HR and finance systems, organizational processes, and coordination with legal functions—helping the systems behind the mission work together effectively.

Fundraising & ministry support

Helping connect fundraising strategy, organizational priorities, and the people who support the mission. A particular specialty in deputized fundraising, in which ministry workers raise financial support for their service.

Drawing on leadership over Advancement, Church Relations, and Marketing to help organizations connect their mission, message, and relationships.

My 34 years with Wycliffe Bible Translators included Bible translation in Panama and service as Chief Partnerships & Integration Officer, with operational responsibility across fundraising, field ministry, and core business functions in an organization of more than $200 million annually. I am fluent in Spanish.

  • Building new ministries. Founder of SIL’s Global Sign Languages Team, supporting Bible translation among Deaf communities.
  • Bringing organizations together. Founder of Global Partnerships, a multi-organizational collaboration initiated by Wycliffe with participation from more than 40 organizations.
  • Connecting mission and resources. At different points, leadership responsibilities included Advancement, Church Relations, Marketing, technology, and field teams. A particular specialty in deputized fundraising.
  • Strengthening organizational systems. Deep involvement in Finance, HR, and legal systems, connecting operational decisions with ministry priorities.
  • Working with boards. Experience as a board chair and board member, as well as facilitating strategy engagements with boards.
  • Foundation leadership experience. Served as Executive Director of Wycliffe Foundation, whose planned and noncash giving activities were integrated into Wycliffe’s organizational structure.

The collaboration has grown to serve more than 2,700 languages in 171 countries and territories, with direct participation from 46 organizations and nearly 200 staff members.

Through Keener Solutions, I bring this combination of field experience, executive leadership, and collaborative ministry development to the questions facing ministries and nonprofits.
